Central location was a plus. Luckily it was close to Lily Cafe & Restaurant, had pastries there when it was cold outside.

The place has peaceful and handy location close to road north of Thamel to catch the local buses or taxi. Plus, it's in Thamel district, near the shops and Kathmandu and most things.

The rooms at Hotel Dolphin are absolutely amazing! They have everything you need, like a laptop-compatible safe and a separate sitting area. Plus, the free WiFi is a big bonus for someone like me who loves being connected all the time. And did I mention the late night room service? It's a game-changer!
The only thing I didn't love about the room was the rainfall showerhead. It's just not my cup of tea, but I understand that some people might enjoy it.

As a frequent traveler, I have stayed in many hotels and recently had the opportunity to stay at Dolphin in Kathmandu. I must say that one of the best features of this hotel is its location. Situated just 15 km away from the Tribhuvan International Airport, it is incredibly convenient for travelers in transit. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a comfortable place to rest before catching their next flight. the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from the airport, making the journey even more hassle-free.
The hot water supply in the shower was unreliable.

Seriously, this place blew me away! The owner upgraded me to this insane room with direct sunlight, like jaw-dropping! The food? Delicious and affordable, I could die for those flavors! The location? So freaking legit, right in the heart of it all, no false advertising here! And can we talk about the clean bathroom with all the goodies? Plus. And wait, the rooftop? Perfect for chilling and soaking up some sun, while having a chit-chat with my crew. Late-night access was smooth as silk, no worries there. But listen, the best part? The owner, seriously so accommodating, checking on me like a million times. This budget-friendly hotel is my jam, not even asking for much!

I had a great value for my money at Hotel Dolphin. The room was bright, clean, and had direct sunlight, which was a huge plus. The location in Thamel was convenient and the staff treated me very kindly and accommodated all my needs.
The breakfast offerings could be improved.

Great service! the staff was really helpful and friendly, always ready to assist us with any questions or requests we had. They gave us good recommendations for local attractions and where to find delicious food. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the view.
The noise from the street was quite bothersome. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, especially if you're a light sleeper.

The staff at Dolphin went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When our room had no soap, they immediately provided one from a nearby shop. The room itself was clean and tidy with functioning amenities. The hotel's location in Thamel was convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
